I just spent an enjoyable couple of days at a HR conference for a major international bank. It’s always good to see the issues that people are discussing and a great by-product is the chance to see some other conference speakers and learn from them.
I was speaking on matrix management which seemed to go well but I wanted to tell you about a couple of my fellow speakers.
Jim Gilmore is author of The Experience Economy and his ideas on creating customer and employee experiences were inspiring and very well delivered. If you are ever looking for someone to bring creativity, inspiration and some great examples of companies that have brought real customer experiences to life, look no further than Jim.
René Carayolwas the closing speaker, an authority on inspirational leadership René has an engaging (and emotional) speaking style and some great stories from his experiences with a real cast of greats from Bill Clinton to Bob Geldorf. As he said “when I met the Queen she told me never to name drop”
Participants told me that the blend of creativity, practical ideas and inspirational ideas at the conference worked well.
If you were there, thanks for your hospitality - remember the value comes when you implement the ideas - go save a day a week - good luck & please leave a comment
