Good trip to Brussels this week to work with a virtual team at Coca-Cola.
One of the challenges we have seen in a complex matrix environment is how to get your message through the mass of interruptions and distractions at work. We think that there is too much poor quality communication to the extent that it is hard to see the important stuff.
I wanted to show you something I saw yesterday that really cut through the usual dreary corporate communication. It is the inside of one of the elevators at the Coca-Cola office.

Now that is communication! It immerses employees and visitors in a new advertising campaign, there are images on the sides of the elevator too.
It even has AstroTurf on the floor - a whole new meaning to the phrase “elevator pitch“. A great way of bringing a campaign or piece of communication to life.
It is impossible to get in the elevator without a discussion starting about the campaign. Beats an email notification any day.
Do you have any examples of really impactful communication at work?
